Running Deer sits on 130 acres just
two minutes outside the city of Danville, Arkansas.
It is located in a secluded valley among tall pines overlooking a small private lake. Deer roam the
acreage, along with Canada geese, blue herons and an occasional eagle landing in the tall pines.

outdoor painting nestled in the heart of the
Arkansas River Valley. We are open to art groups and art organizations who wish to draw or paint in a quiet country setting.
Running Deer Includes:

Location:
 Running Deer Retreat is located in Danville, Arkansas between the Ozark and Ouachita
National Forests in west central Arkansas, 30 miles southwest of Russellville, 65 miles north of Hot Springs and 70 miles east of Fort Smith. The mountains, lakes and rolling farmlands make a
beautiful setting in the Arkansas River Valley Area. Exit I40 at Russellville, take Hwy 7 to Dardanelle and then Hwy 27 to Danville. Danville is about 70 miles southeast of Fort Smith on Hwy 10 and
70 miles north west of Little Rock on Hwy 10.
